Lollapalooza Day 1

After seeing Grace, I made it over to catch the end of Foster The People. By now it's getting more and more crowded

I'm starting to get a little dehydrated, so I stop over to get a beverage or two. This duo ends up being my dranks of choice for the day ;-)

I go see the Kills after rehydrating. They rocked as always.
I then find a nice little perch in between two stages where I watch 2 Door Cinema Club and the A Perfect Circle. As I'm sitting there, a gent walks by and asks if he can sit next to me. I say, "sure." His name is Rajel. He's from Monterrey, Mexico. He's a nice fellow. As we're talking, Crystal Castles comes on, so we go watch their set.

Then, Muse comes on! So, we proceed to watch Muse. Their show is pretty spectacular.

While we're watching Muse, however; this cat leans over and asks if he can give me a kiss. eeewww! No!
I give him this, don't bother me, I'm watching the show kinda look.
A minute or so later, I look back and he is nowhere to be seen. HaHa! So funny! Those Latin boys are always so quick to move. ;-)

I get bored and proceed to the other end of the park to watch some Coldplay. As I'm walking over, this new gent asks me something (I forget) and we walk together to watch the show. I guess he got lost from his crew or something. His name is Jason. He's from Las Vegas. He's funny.
Coldplay is amazing by the way!

 This is Jason......
 We were picking our boogers
After the show, we went to the Elephant and Castle for a drink. Then tried to find another bar, but couldn't for some reason. Then we started to smell our stinky selves, so we parted ways. End of Day 1 Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza Day 1

After Reptar, I heard this beautiful bluesy woman singing. I had plans to see Foster The People, but couldn't help myself. I had to see who was making this music, so I wandered over to the Bud Light stage, and low and behold, it's Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. She was wearing this white very fringey short dress and was dancing around as if she were a Native American trying to summon the spirits at a drum circle. Her voice bellowed with little effort. Wow... I have a crush on her. As soon as I'm thinking this, another girl walks by and says, "If I were into girls..." my thoughts exactly. ;-)

Lollapalooza day 1

Videos will be posted to my Facebook page. It takes too friggin long on this thing!

Lollapalooza Day 1

First things first! I have an extremely busy day ahead of me. No time for stopping. Music back to back! I get inside and see Naked and Famous. They're awesome with their down under accents.

As soon as that's over, I jet it to the Google stage to see Reptar. I love how they stand in a line. No one person is in front or behind.
I think they made a few new fans ;-)

Lollapalooza Day 1

First band of the day to see- The Naked and Famous- I've been addicted to their new album, Passive Me Agressive You. They are actually one of the bands that brought me here ;-)

Almost to the front gate!

Chicago Day 1

I arrived in O'Hare Airport around 5 pm. I Found some van that takes people to their final destinations, hopped on that. 2 hours later (mind you that O'Hare's only around 20-30 mins away from downtown, if that!) I arrived at University Center, the place of my sleeping.

After settling in, my new roomie and I went out to some pre Lolla party at Beauty Bar. It looked like a 1950's salon converted into a club.

My Travels to Lollapalooza

A month ago I spoke with a friend about going to Lollapalooza. I checked out the website and saw there were only one day passes left for each day. So, naturally, I panicked and bought them right away. A few hours later, I had all arrangements made. I was goin to Chicago baby!!
My friend, however, could not make it. Looks like I was doin a solo trip!
